Character Playbook: Building Healthy Relationships
Character Playbook is the NFL and United Way’s signature digital program that trains middle school students on how to cultivate and maintain healthy relationships, make good decisions and step in when they see questionable activity.
Across three-and-a-half years, the program has reached more than 475,000 students in 5,302 schools across 49 states and the District of Columbia. Through evidence-based strategies, Character Playbook teaches students about positive character development, social-emotional learning (SEL), and building healthy relationships—during their most critical middle school years.
Character Playbook is comprised of six modules. The course allows students to engage with true-to-life scenarios that include bystander intervention strategies and positive relationship examples.
